Common Questions

Frequently asked.

Does it cost more to book Norwegian through Craystar?

No. Pricing is identical to ncl.com. Norwegian pays travel agencies a commission directly.

What is Norwegian's Freestyle Cruising?

Freestyle Cruising is Norwegian's signature concept — no fixed dining times, no formal dress code, multiple specialty restaurants, and the freedom to set your own pace. Norwegian invented this concept in 2000.

What does Norwegian's Free at Sea include?

Free at Sea is Norwegian's standard package promotion. Depending on cabin category and itinerary, it includes some combination of: Premium Beverage Package, Specialty Dining Package, Wi-Fi minutes, shore excursion credits, and free or discounted fares for 3rd and 4th guests.

Are The Haven suites worth the upgrade?

For most travelers who can afford it, yes. The Haven is Norwegian's ship-within-a-ship suite class — private restaurant, courtyard with pool, sun deck, butler and concierge service. The experience is closer to a private yacht than a mainstream cruise.

How is Norwegian different from Royal Caribbean?

Norwegian skews older and more adult-focused. Smaller average ship sizes, more dining variety, and the Freestyle approach (no set dining times). Royal has more waterparks and high-energy family activities.

I have an existing Norwegian booking. Can you take it over?

Possibly. Bookings can sometimes be transferred to a travel agent if booked within the last 60 days and not paid in full. There's no cost to transfer.

Where would you like to sail freestyle?

Tell us your sail window, ports of interest, and party size — we'll come back with Norwegian options and Free at Sea decoded for your trip.
